The Galaxy S4- Will It Have an Octa-Core Processor

s4 samsungThe S4 will be announced sometime this year, to take over where the Galaxy SIII has left off. It’s safe to say that this is one of the most anticipated devices of the year, and there is no saying what hardware or software features the device will have. One speculation that has been going around is that it will double the number of cores the S3 has to an impressive 8!

Looking at the performance of the S3, there is nothing to complain about it really. The 4 cores have served the device well, but it would seem seamless performance and multitasking is what the Korean manufacturer wants. The Exynos 5 Octa processor was unveiled at this year’s CES, and Samsung promised to utilize it in some upcoming devices. If this is true, it will probably premier in the S4.

Basically what an octa-core processor promises is game play, HD movie watching, internet use, all together without any lag whatsoever. Such is the kind of processing power it has, all the while using very little power. One quad-core cluster will clock in at 1.8GHz for those demanding applications, while the other 4 cores will run at 1.2GHz to make for the aforementioned energy savings. Since the Galaxy S’s have been known to set the bar a little higher every time, much of what is rumoured may turn out to be true after all.

The launch of the S4 will come in the second quarter, and it will be characterized by uncontainable excitement if any of this turns out to be true.To get this on a pay monthly contract or any of the latest mobile phones to be released in  2013 apply with us today!
