Shared Data Contracts Coming Soon. Is 4G too Expensive?

EEAccording to UK customer surveys, 4G is still too expensive for them. Although the new tariffs from network releasing 4G this summer have not been revealed yet, consumers believe that their coming bills will be much more costly, if companies follow the pricing strategy that EE has taken, who are the first network to offer 4G.

 

To make up for these hiked prices EE has issued an update on the data contracts matter: customers will be able to sign up for data contracts that can accommodate multiple devices. The data allowance will be split between Smartphone’s in 4G and other tablets or mobile broadband devices you own.

Budget Google Phone Planned for the UK

Google-moto-xGoogle is a giant not only in the Internet world, but are slowly expanding there expertise and knowledge to new markets. Most recently they are trying to change the mobile market place. Google has announced the coming release of a budget phones, the Google Moto X. OfCom News and Why It Has Operators Pushing For Greater Clarity

Ofcom now requires operators to offer greater clarity in contracts about the potential that exists for price increases. EE the latest network to hit the UK shores

The 4G service has been introduced into UK by Everything Everywhere (EE) in 11 cities including London, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Edinburg and a few others. Apart from this, 2,000 square miles of network will be added on a monthly basis. By Christmas, EE plans to cover 16 cities, securing access to 4G network across UK.

After having re-purposed their existing 2G services, EE has finally been able to launch their 4G service, thus successful in placing itself ahead of O2 and Vodafone, at least until Ofcom decides to auction off the available spectrum. Offering 5 levels of contracts, EE lets customers pick plans depending upon their estimated data consumption. The 8GB plan is offered for £56, 5GB for £51, 3GB for £46, 1GB for £41 and 500MB for £36, on a monthly basis.
