Sony at the CES, and the Landing of the Xperia Z

xperia-z-sonyThe high end of the market is never devoid of any competition, with the likes of Apple having the iPhone 5, Samsung having the S3 and HTC the One X. Sony is not one to be left behind, and with the CES came the release of the Xperia Z.  It has been a hugely anticipated device, and is the greatest offering that Sony has to make. It is a colossal performance beast, packing a gorgeous 5” full HD Reality display for top of the class viewing experience. On top of that it is resistant to water, dust and scratches making it hardcore both inside and out. The glass used to construct the phone is shatter proof too.

The ergonomics of the phone are pleasing, and the giant screen estate will be enjoyed by many. Considering the likes of the Note II have been doing well with an enormous 5.5” screen, the Xperia Z will definitely find its place in the market. The no-nonsense design is pleasing, and even though the curves observed with some Xperia offerings have been removed, the new slimmer waist is much more appreciated. The re-design is a step in the right direction, as the reception for thin devices has been really positive in all ends of the market.

The Xperia is meant to hit the market within the first quarter of this year, and considering the fact that it is going head to head with market greats, it is probably going to have a high-end tag.
