Google Nexus 4 Successor, Expected Soon Google Nexus 5

nexus 5Google’s Nexus phones have been stealing the headlines following each announcement. These devices are made to match the best the market has to offer. And given Google’s deep integration into these devices, their demand has been extraordinary. The latest Nexus, the LG Nexus 4 has been around for around two months, and the reception it has gotten has been overwhelming. It has been able to stand against market greats and find its footing, which says a lot about the device.

Even before any gray hairs start showing, Google has announced that a successor is already in the works. Up to this point, these have been unconfirmed, but given that the Mobile World Congress is slated for next month, the Nexus 5, will be announced. It will have big shoes to fill of course, given the kind of success that precedes it. Some rumors’ have indicated that it will have a 2GHz processor, and may even feature Google’s yet unannounced Android Key Lime.

Following this expected replacement in a future that is very close, the production of the Google Nexus 4 has since been stopped, perhaps in a bid to increase anxiety ahead of the Congress in Barcelona. Not many units have been sold, and it’s not clear whether the demand was overwhelming or whether the supply was short. Additionally, it cannot be confirmed whether the announcement will be made next month, as Google may opt to hold off the announcement until May, during Google’s I̸/O conference. Either way, the new Nexus is expected to be big news and you will be able to get this on a new mobile contract right here once its released.
